PERFORMANCE UP-GRADATION TO ACHIEVE QUALITY IN EDUCATION !!
As many as 20 Principals of DAV Schools across Punjab attended a workshop on “Effective Performance Management System” at DAV Global School Patiala today. The workshop focused on the self appraisal as an assessment tool.
During occasion, the Principals were introduced to the various competencies to be developed amongst faculty so as to promote professionalism. They were also made to realize the need for trainings at student level.
The key speaker, Ms. Manjula from The Transformers Value Creators emphasized on the importance of an ‘Effective Performance Management System; so as to achieve quality in education.
She said further that the need of the hour was to develop soft skills among students. There was need to introduce special workshops for the secondary and senior secondary level students primarily to improve upon their performance in studies and get better results, she asserted.
The concept was taught with help of group activities, inspirational videos and PPT’s. All the participants enjoyed the workshop and mentioned their desire to conduct more of such sessions to enhance confidence, creativity among their faculty and students.
