Raymond Ltd is planning to expand its manufacturing capacity in Andhra Pradesh to meet rising customer demand and manage higher business volumes. The company is setting up an additional brownfield facility near its existing manufacturing unit through one of its subsidiaries.
The expansion is intended to strengthen production capacity during the current financial year. It will also help the company respond faster to customer requirements and manage additional orders in the near term.
Brownfield Expansion to Support Immediate Demand
The new facility will serve as an interim capacity expansion measure. A brownfield project increases production capacity at or near an existing industrial site. This approach allows companies to expand operations without establishing an entirely new manufacturing base.
Raymond expects the additional facility to support incremental business volumes while improving its ability to meet customer delivery requirements.
Greenfield Project to Drive Long-Term Growth
Alongside the brownfield expansion, Raymond is continuing work on a planned greenfield manufacturing project in Andhra Pradesh. This project is designed to establish a larger manufacturing platform for the company's medium- and long-term growth.
The two initiatives form part of a phased capacity expansion strategy. The brownfield facility will address immediate demand, while the greenfield project will support future production requirements.
Sanjeev Sharma, Joint Managing Director and CEO of JKMPTL, a Raymond Group company, said the additional capacity would help the business respond more quickly to current customer needs while the long-term project progresses.
The expansion highlights Raymond's focus on strengthening its manufacturing infrastructure and preparing for future growth. As customer demand increases, the additional capacity could help the company improve operational flexibility and support higher business volumes.
